158 Three wooden backed Rubber Ink Stamps from ticket offices: “Woodhall Junction”, “Boston”, “Sibsey for Midville”. Nice Lincs. locations. v.g.c. (3) 170 Great Northern Railway fully titled cast iron 1896 Trespass Notice. Face restored only.
159 Three pre-grouping steel Carriage Keys: “GCR” (ring handle), “Midland Railway” (ring handle); “GNR” (‘T’ shape). All v.g.c. (3). 171 A DJH kit built white metal ‘00’ Gauge Electric ‘Britannia’ Class Locomotive and Tender No. 70041 “Sir John Moore”. A nicely detailed model with full rivet detail and Romford drivers. Finished in lined BR green livery. The model is in v.g.c. but lacks one nameplate and we cannot guarantee that it runs. The box is in fair condition with some split corners.
160 “British Railways 1827” Porters enamel Armband. g.c. and complete with straps. 172 An original unopened bar of LNER Soap. The wrapper is printed “Rubbo for scouring & scrubbing”. Both end flaps are printed “LNER”. An amazing survivor in v.g.c. See also lot 402.
161 “LMS” small enamel Plate from a steam locomotive cab detailing the use of the automatic steam brake valve. “Euston November 1939”. Chips to all four corners. One corner pulled and one corner torn. Not bad for a cab environment. 204x153mm. (8x6in). 173 LMS sepia photographic Carriage Print with gold title block “Edinburgh”. A fine image with the Scott Monument, Waverley station, North British Hotel, Arthurs Seat, Calton Tunnel portal and other famous buildings prominent. Very good condition and in an original glazed frame.
162 LNER glass Tumbler. A nice quality glass with a heavy and part fluted base clearly face etched with the “LNER” in intertwined script. v.g.c. 120mm. tall. (5in). 174 LNER cast iron Platform Seat Back Nameplate “Boston”. 653mm. (25.7in) long. Nicely face rest. only and superbly presented on a freestanding polished mahogany stand. Boston station was opened in Oct. 1848 & although still open is much reduced from its former status.
163 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “75C” (Norwood Junction). BR(S) Eastleigh triangle to back. Face restored only. 175 “Carron Jct.” engraved brass Signal Instrument Plate with original black wax infill to lettering. v.g.c. 122x16mm.
164 LNER double royal pictorial Poster “Rambles in the West Riding of Yorkshire” featuring fine artwork of “Ripon Minster” by Schabelsky. Folds only. v.g.c. 176 “Great Northern Railway Board” (Ireland) original Coat of Arms Transfer mounted onto a stained ply panel. Some scuffs and scratches but impressive. 536x480mm. (21x19in).
165 A fine pair of Great Eastern Railway Hotels silver plated Sandwich Servers by Elkington. The handle clearly top marked “GER Co’s. Hotels” below which is a “H” for Harwich. v.g.c. 177 GWR large rectangular paper Luggage Label “Great Western Royal Hotel Paddington Station London. W2. GWR Hotels for business and pleasure”. v.g.c. 136x68mm. (5.3x2.7in).
166 BR(M) oak cased 8” roundhead Wall Clock with a sprung wound movement. The service dial lettered “BR(M) 19623”. Ex-Derby Works. v.g.c. and working complete with key. 178 Two BR(ER) “Guard” fishtail Cap Badges. Brass and nickel examples. Both by Gaunt and in v.g.c. (2).
167 Carriage Roof cast iron ‘Torpedo’ Vent. Unusual angled style. v.g.c. & unrestored. 179 London & North Western Railway and West Coast Joint Stock internal steel Carriage Door Key. Nicely stamped “L&NWR SCI WCJS” and “Saloon & Corridor”. Good condition.
168 Glasgow Corporation Tramways hallmarked silver and enamel “25 yrs” circular Cap Badge. Enamel losses and well polished over the years by a proud wearer. A scarce early badge 51mm. dia. 180 Pair of Southern Railway Second World War “Railway Service” Lapel Badges. Brass and nickel examples. v.g.c. Both with pin backs. (2).
169 GNR small 3 aspect Handlamp. Top and body stamped with matching “GNR 18304” and date stamped for May 1913. Body has brass label “Great Northern Railway Midville 1”. Complete with integral vessel, burner, reflector, copper lens cone and all glasses. A superb restored example. Midville was on the ‘New Line’ from Woodhall Jct. to Bellwater Jct, opened in 1913 and closed in Oct. 1970. 181 “LNER” embossed cast iron Crossing Gate Lamp Case complete with LNER Welch Patent Interior Lamp. Still attached to its gate mounting bracket. The red bullseye lenses in fine condition. All v.g.c.
