113 “Midland Railway Company” small 16.5mm. early pattern full title and shield nickel Button. (F11/5). Very good condition. 124 Midland Railway brass Sig. Box Lever Plate engraved “Signal Corporation Siding to Up Branch Siding”. Reverse stamped “Stop Shunt Signal”. Unrestored tarnished cond. From a Melton Mowbray area box.
114 Sheffield Tramways Department chromed cast metal Inspector’s Cap Badge. City arms upon a laurel wreath background with “S.T.D. Inspector” scrolls. One rear lug replaced but an impressive badge in v.g.c. 59x47mm. 125 BR(ER) double royal pictorial Poster “Richmond Yorkshire” by Wesson published in 1962. A fine image of the imposing castle ruins rising above the river Swale. v.g.c. with no folds.
115 Highland Railway small Letterpress Poster advertising cheap excursion fares in connection with Fearn and Portmahomack Holiday July 1884. Four tables of fares plus travel info. “Strathpeffer” is written on reverse, presumably where the poster was used. Minor nicks. Scarce. 126 LNER leather Cash Bag with brass plate “LNER Boston”. v.g.c. and complete with “LNER” closing disc.
116 “Stratford-upon-Avon & Midland Junction Railway Beware of Trains. Trespassers will be prosecuted” cast iron Notice. Always an unusual sign with its inset raised border and large angled corners. v.g.c. and face restored. 127 “Derbyshire Wagon Co. Ld. Builders Chesterfield” cast iron Wagon Plate in the shape of a large capital letter ‘D’. Face restored only long ago.
117 Oval cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “6G” (Llandudno Junction) with small characters. Unrestored with a near original face. In the 60’s this depot had a handful of ‘Jubilees’ and ‘Scots’ on its books. An uncommon code. 128 USSR Railways Guards Pocket Watch by Sekonda with an 18 jewel movement. The dial with inset seconds dial bears a motif in red of a loco wheel with wings. The rear of the case has a fine embossed image of a Russian 2-10-2 tender locomotive. v.g.c. and working order.
118 SNCF Senior Station Master Peaked Cap. “SNCF” gilt wire badge to front above five gilt wire stars upon a braided band. Gilt woven chin strap attached via two “SNCF” gilt buttons. Owners name “Gauthier Le Mont-Dore” written inside. v.g.c. 129 “North Eastern Railway Bicycle Check Label 8” large circular card Tag with original string tie. Some foxing but an unusual & rare item. 116mm. dia. (4.5in).
119 “Canadian Pacific Steam Ship Lines” china Sandwich Plate by Minton. Beautifully decorated with birds of paradise, fruits and flowers. Base marked with the company title within a shield and dated for 1939. v.g.c. 237mm. dia. (9.3in). 130 GNR Semaphore Signal Lamp Interior with steel plate “Hall Hills”. Complete with burner, all glasses, copper chimney, brass filler bung and copper cap. Lightly polished metal finish v.g.c. A location near Boston and former site of the GNR Co’s Sleeper Depot.
120 Pair of GNR oval cast iron Crossing Numberplates: “GNR 11” and “GNR 17”. Both with “G15” casting code. Face restored only. (2) 131 Two enamel and brass First World War Service Badges: “London & North Western Railway” and “Glasgow & South Western Railway” examples. Both v.g.c. (2).
121 Great Southern Railway of Ireland 3 aspect Handlamp. Top stamped “C.I.E.” Two brass plates to side catch covers “Waterford Nth.” and “P.Finnegan 3”. Complete with original vessel with brass overplate “C.I.E.”, burner, reflector and all glasses. v.g.c. and restored. 132 Manchester South Junction and Altrincham Railway original gold leaf “MSJ & AR Co.” Transfer mounted onto a green painted panel. Superbly ornate script lettering as applied to the company’s coaching stock. A very old and rare device. 650x168mm. (25.6x6.6in).
122 Circular enamel Disc lettered “W. Alexander & Sons Ltd. Falkirk Duty Pass No. 69”. v.g.c. 60mm. dia. (2.4in) A Scottish Bus operator. 133 “London & N.W. Ry. Co. Crewe Refreshment Rooms” tiny china Milk / Cream Jug by Copeland. The full title in an oval device to the face. Some very well executed minor restoration.
123 LNER oval cast iron 9x5 Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 68287 Darlington Works 1892”. As carried by NER Class E 0-6-0 Tank Loco No. 240 later LNER / BR Class J71. Face painted only.
