46 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “55F” (Bradford Manningham). Unrestored. 58 BR(Scottish Region) Guards 15 jewel Swiss made Pocket Watch by Vertex. Back engraved “BR(Sc) 617”. Enamelled dial with inset seconds dial has a hairline craze. Very good condition and working order.
47 Enamel Sign “Great Northern Railway (I) Billposters will be prosecuted by order. Amiens Street Station. January 1916.” Large chip to top edge plus a few small edge chips. Superb colour and shine. 458x410mm. (18x16in). 59 Two oval cast iron “Maintenance Ends” Plates: “MD&HB” (Mersey Docks & Harbour Board” and “BR” examples. Both face restored only long ago. (2)
48 BR(ER) double royal pictorial Poster “Mablethorpe Trusthorpe and Sutton-on-Sea” by Eckersley. Some tears and damp marks and a tad grubby. Usual light folds. 60 Aluminium Single Line Key Token. The head engraved “Sutton Bridge - Westbury”. A section of the GW & LNW Shrewsbury & Welshpool Joint Line. This token has been badly damaged including the severing of the key end having fallen beneath the wheels of a train! An uncommon section and a wonderful topic of discussion.
49 BR(NER) double royal photographic Poster “Bolton Abbey” featuring a superb image by A.F. Kersting, F.R.P.S of the well known ruins and stepping stones across the river Wharfe. Minor nick to top edge otherwise v.g.c. with no folds. 61 “GWR Soda Refreshment Department Swindon” circular Bottle Label. Black print on pink. v.g.c. and unusual. 38mm. dia. (1.5in).
50 LSWR & LBSCR Joint small 17mm. nickel Button. “SW & SCR” in ornate intertwined script lettering (Froggatt ref. 28/11). v.g.c. 62 GNR mahogany cased Signal Box underslung Block Bell with tapper. Hand engraved brass plate “Lincoln” to face. v.g.c. and a nice sounder.
51 Great Central & Midland Joint Committee small 17mm. brass Button. “GC & MJC” in three lines of script initials. v.g.c. (illustrated in Froggatt (F42/16) as a sketch only. 63 Two Midland Railway Permanent Way brass Thunderer Whistles. “MR Co. P.W. 1731” by Hudson and “MR PW 3218” by De Courcy. Both v.g.c. and working. (2).
52 “General Railway Station Chester” 22mm. once nickel Button bearing the full title around shield and wreath. This button is a ‘dig up’ example lacking back loop but is a scarce piece. (F165/2). This station opened in 1848 was the joint property of the LNW, Chester & Holyhead, Shrewsbury & Chester and Birkenhead, Lancashire & Chester Junction Railways. 64 GWR twin shields Coat of Arms Transfer nicely mounted onto a stained and varnished ply panel. v.g.c. 378x342mm. (14.8x13.5in).
53 North British Railway 25mm. full title and coat of arms brass Button in v.g.c. (F5/6). 65 North Eastern Railway thin card Third Class Monthly Season Ticket No. 45 for journeys between Leeds and Harrogate August to September 1883. A nice early issued ticket made out to “Mr M.W. Macbay”. v.g.c. and scarce. 112x76mm. (4.4x3in).
54 LNER 4 aspect Handlamp with flip up fluted cap. Top stamped “LNER”. Brass label to body “London & North Eastern Railway Eastville”. Complete with “LNER” vessel, “BRE” burner, reflector and all glasses (orange missing). v.g.c. and restored. A station between Boston and Firsby closed in Sept. 1961. 66 North Eastern Railway thin card Third Class Monthly Season Ticket No. 55 for journeys between Leeds (New) and Harrogate June to July 1898. Another nice early issued ticket made out to “Mr. M. Wilson”. v.g.c. and scarce. 91x60mm. (3.6x2.35in).
55 GNR Signal Box enamel Instrument Plate “Main Line to Trent Lane Junc.” A few hairline crazes and minor re-touched chips. A Nottingham Box on the Grantham Line and junction with the Nottingham Suburban Railway and Goods Lines. 67 L&NER fully titled cast iron Trespass Notice. Nicely face restored.
56 “LNER HD 0915 Timber Bogie” (Hull Docks) rectangular cast iron Wagon Plate. v.g.c. and unrestored. 68 Fibre Single Line Tablet “Bishop Auckland - Merrington Lane”. Good ex-service condition.
57 “L&NWR Co. 2” oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate. Face restored only. 69 Mahogany cased Signal Box Block Bell with tapper and lift up front panel. A large mushroom bell which emits a fine sound. v.g.c. From a Boston area box.
