Possibly some kind of uniform insignia, a bandolier badge or guards watch pouch decoration. Rare most certainly. The Newent Railway ran from Over Jct. to Dymock on the Ledbury - Gloucester Line. It opened in July 1885 and amalgamated with the GWR in July 1892. |

As carried by one of a batch of 47 standard gauge Type S60M Diesel Locos delivered to the Union Pacific. At the time of delivery it was numbered 6313. Comprises well advanced loco chassis with wheels, ‘front bogie’, four cylinders, valve gear, buffer beam etc., smokebox with chimney and door, running boards, tub of castings and set of drawings. A fairly old project and the chassis has siezed up but it does look the part so would be worth completing. |
