Oval engraved brass Locomotive Builders Plate “Great Northern Ry. Co. No. 1262 Makers 1910 Doncaster Works”. This magnificent plate was carried by ‘N1’ Class 0-6-2 Tank Loco No. 1567 built in April 1910. It became LNER 4567 in 3 / 1924, 9447 in 10 / 1946 and BR No. 69447 in 12 / 1948. A West Riding engine for many years it often worked between Leeds Central and Bradford until withdrawal in Oct. 1956. A lovely example of a ‘soup plate’ works plate lightly face polished only. The back chisel marked in typical Doncaster style “R1567” (i.e. right hand side). 440x241mm. (17.3x9.5in). |

Oval cast brass Locomotive Cabside Numberplate “52”. As carried by an 0-6-0 ST built by Robert Stephensons & Hawthorn (7004 of 1940) to an earlier Kitson design. The loco worked for Stewarts & Lloyds at their Corby Quarries and went to George Cohens, Cransley for scrap in Dec. 1969. The number plate is face restored and lightly polished only 333x216mm. (13x8.5in). Info on the loco accompanies the lot. |

Great Eastern Railway mahogany cased 12” (300mm) Wall Clock with a fine quality chain driven fusee movement. The dial is re-written “GER 1438”. The back box is twice branded “GER” as is the rear of the dial surround. One of the movement plates is also stamped “GER”. A fine timepiece in full working order complete with pendulum and key. Clock records show its location as being Liverpool Street Station Continental Enquiries Office. The inside case is written “Fenchurch St. Pass. Manager” so perhaps a later transfer. |

LMS cast aluminium ‘Hawkseye’ Station Sign “Wakerley & Barrowden” in two sections. Nicely face restored and mounted onto a back board. 2115mm (83.25in) long overall. Very impressive. A former LNWR station between Seaton and Yarwell on the Market Harborough to Peterborough line opened in Nov. 1879 and closed in June 1966. |
